In "Mississippi Marriages, Early to 1825" which I found in the Library
at McComb, Ms, there is a record of the marriage of John Cutrer and
Catherine Addison on the same date as above but shown as being in
Amite County, Ms.
Debbie Powers (deb@i-55.com) has located the old home place of John and
Catherine Cutrer consisting of 160 acres located in the NW 1/4 of Sec 9,
T 1 S, R 7 E and being better described to locate as exiting I-55 at the
Magnolia exit 8, turn and go west until you come to a road with a sign
that says Terry's Creek Baptist Church 3 miles, turn to your left, this
should be Terry's Creek Road. Go about 3-4 miles and lthe place is on
right side of the road. The road address is 3053 Terry's Creek Road,
Magnolia Ms. There is a small modern style house there now with three
giant cedar trees in the front.

An Isaac Wesley Cutrer lived at Osyka Ms at his home called Magnolia Manor.
However, I believe this was an Isaac Wesley Cutrer who was more
wealthy than the one in the present line and this is not the one in
this line.

Apparently, the wife of the above Isaac must have died between 1868 and
1870 and left a daughter of only 2.
Jane E Ballard was the daughter of James Ballard of St Helena Parish. The
succession of James Ballard includes a reference which verifies this state-
ment as follows:
The petition of William McKind?? Ballard, a citizen of
the Parish of St Tammany in the State of Louisiana,
respectfully represnets that many years since )???) in
and about the year A.D. 1839, his father, James Ballard,
residing in the Parish of St Helena, departed this life
leaving some real estate in said Parish and as thee were
no debts due by the estate no mortuary proceedings ever
been had to represnet that there are six heirs by John
Ballard, residing in the Parish of Livingston; Lewis
E Ballard, an absentee; Lydia Ann Ballard, wife of Berry
Zachary, who is an absentee; William M Ballard, your
petitioner who resides in the Prish of St Tammany; Elijah
A Ballard, who also resides in the Parish of St Tammany,
and Jane Ellen Ballard, wife of Isaac Cutrer, who resides
in the Parish of Washington.
